Beautorium Training Academy Cancellation Policy:

At Beautorium Training Academy, we truly value your custom.

Our current policy is that all course deposits and fees are non refundable or transferable on courses cancelled less than 7 weeks before start date. This includes funding from various government schemes.

We also have had to implement a last minute cancellation fee in addition to course fees in order to reschedule follow on course days or in courses that involve more than one day.

Our last minute cancellation fee applies to days cancelled or rescheduled-

- less than 3 days before follow on days for courses (after initial first day - e.g Day 2 , 3 or 4 etc of courses)

- Cancellations or reschedule less than 14 days for One to Ones, and

- Students that arrive later than 15 minutes after course start time(therefore not able to join the class **depending on course)

- Not providing a model for courses that require one, thus being unable to do course.

All above will incur a €150 rescheduling fee on top of Course fees.

Dependant on the course, occasionally, students may be able to continue with days omitting the missed day and catch up on content at home. Continuation of the course omitting the day will not apply for short courses or workshops and only on ITEC or longer term courses and is dependant on content missed and its requirement to progress with the course content and is at the Academy directors and Class tutors discretion. Course days missed for ITEC courses cannot be rescheduled to a different day at the students request.

ITEC Exam dates will be confirmed after course begins, please note the day and date of this is out of academy control as is at the discretion of the awarding body and may be a few weeks after course completion depending on examiner availability. Students that do not attend scheduled exam dates or cancel at short notice, for various reasons not approved by ITEC or the academy, will incur a resit /late cancellation fee in order to reschedule examinations.

Academy Directors decision is final.

Models are essential for some courses - if model is not supplied by students they may not be able to complete the course and the cancellation policy may apply resulting in being charged fee to reschedule date.

Should the course date need to be rescheduled by the academy for any reason, your place and any payments will be transferred to the next available date.

Kits ordered for students cannot be issued until course is undertaken, this is due to the products and tools being for professional use only.

By giving us enough notice when you need to change or cancel a course or examination, it allows us the time to inform our standby students of any availability, prevents unnecessary ordering of course kits or scheduling of staff members as well as keeping our scheduled filled .

Under no circumstances can government funding be refunded to students directly. The academy will only liase directly with relevant agency that issued funding to the academy.

Government funding is not transferrable between courses unless approved by salon management. Approval is only in circumstances where it is agreed with student and academy and cannot be reversed again once changed.

Government funding needs to be used within 4 months of academy receiving approval or payment unless otherwise agreed with management.

Academy Director reserves the right to review cancellation policy on an individual basis in certain circumstances at their own discretion.

Beautorium Training Academy General Policy:

Students are required to have a minimum of 85% attendance to all courses to be considered for examinations.

Students are required to undertake additional hours home study and practice on models including evidence of treatments to meet ITEC Required hours as part of all ITEC courses.

Failure to complete required hours will result in student being unable to sit examinations.

Additional assistance can be requested by all students for mentoring on topics and / or reasonable adjustments in examinations for a variety of learning difficulties. We endeavor to facilitate all students where possible and with notice, however cannot guarantee we will be able to fulfil request at all times.

Class days missed cannot be repeated

Once course commences you are liable for full payment of course fees should you complete course or not. Fees need to be paid a minimum of 12 weeks before examinations.

Late or incomplete coursework after required submission date is subject to recorrection / late submission fees - this varies depending on course completed.

Students that are unsuccessful in examinations will need to pay awarding body fee to resit examination. We will only be able to facilitate this during our scheduled examinations in Spring / late summer or Autumn.

The college does not provide models for students or for examinations - it is the students responsibility to source suitable models for class and/or examinations. If model is unsuitable students will not be eligible to partake in class or sit examinations. The college will review models as the students request to determine suitability. Models in the academy are coming in to allow students to practice their skills, for exams and learn techniques. Treatments provided are not guaranteed to be of the same standard of an experienced therapist and are a minimal or no charge as they are performed by a student learning or perfecting skills. Models cannot be repaired or offered financial compensation (if any charges for model for the students treatment) for treatment standard after the training day. Please note our sister salon is not connected or liable for any treatments performed in the academy by students.

Any additional workshops or courses that form part of your qualification - as part of a package or special offer- need to be undertaken no later that 6 months after the main course finishes and is the students responsibility to book with the academy from dates advertised online. If it is not used within this timeframe it is no longer a valid offer.

Funding approved and paid on behalf of students for courses will need to be used within 4 months of the academy receiving payment. funding will be lost if not redeemed within this timeframe unless later start date is agreed when booking.

Course dates are dependent on minimum numbers , should we need to have to reschedule a date we endeavor to give you as much notice as possible and will move your booking to the next available course date.

If you are attending a 2 day course no more than 16 weeks can lapse between the two days to ensure you are of correct standard for progression. Should the academy deem necessary you will need to resit the compete course at an additional fee. Same may apply for courses consisting of 3 days - contact academy for more information
